Restoring thirst in Runescape: Dragonwilds is fairly straightforward: Drink water. Presuming that you already know that drinking water is key, we can go over how to do it properly. That is, without poisoning yourself. You’d have guessed by that your journey in the Dragonwilds will be aided by a sterile source of nourishment.
As you might have noticed, drinking water straight from a lake causes a significant buildup of poison. Or, as the wise old man says, some buildup of toxicity to the soul. For a new player, this sort of price for simply drinking water might be a tad steep.
In reality, this isn’t generally that meaningful of an ordeal since the HP lost from maxing out this “soul toxicity” just partially wounds one’s HP, which can passively be regained over the course of a minute or so. But there are more reasons to want to avoid dirty water, anyway. Mainly, the fact that it takes so much time to drink relative to the return to the thirst meter.
Instead, players should opt to use 2 dirty water (usually, more) on a cooking pot to create one clean water source. The processing will happen automatically. This water doesn’t poison the soul, and restores thirst to a greater degree per item used than water sourced straight from a lake or river. Additionally, secondary items, such as a small animal fang, can be used to create special attributes in the specific drinks ala Breath of the Wild.
Restoring thirst in Runescape: Dragonwilds is probably one of the first things a player will learn to do, but given the width of the game’s adventures, one could be forgiven for having missed vital pieces of information early on. If you find yourself not knowing how to perform key processes like this, be sure to explore more and pay attention to on-screen guides that present themselves when new items or spells are attained.
