Making great use of the user feedback gained through the Insiders Program, BHVR has decided to pull the plug on their PvE game Project T following a string of negative playtest experiences.

In a tweet regarding the decision, BHVR stated:

“following the playtests in July, we ran a thorough internal risk assessment from a product and commercial perspective. While a number of players expressed appreciation for what they played, unfortunately, the outcome of this deep analysis yielded unsatisfactory results.”

Project T isn’t the first title that BHVR has been forced to cancel, as the rather cultishly beloved Deathgarden unfortunately claims a similar status. That game, while not PvE, was an alternate take on the asymetrical gameplay that BHVR was known for and despite satisfying the player base that existed, the player base itself was far too small to warrant continued support on BHVR’s half.

While it’s disappointing that we won’t be seeing Project T come to fruition in this universe, it can appreciated that BHVR had the wherewithal to actually stymie their appetite for hype and make the wise decision to not invest resources into something that likely would have yielded little to no gain.

On to new things.
