Escape From Tarkov’s early Skier quest: here’s how to do it quickly.

What You’ll Need (In Your Inventory)

• 5000 Rubles:
  
  Skier, the trader who assigns this quest, gives you this amount of money at the quest start. Keep it in your secure container so that it doesn’t get lost if you die.
  
  That’s it.

Where You’ll Need to Go

There’s a parked SUV on the map “Ground Zero” that gives players a somewhat risky option for extraction. After paying the driver 5000 Rubles (minus some arbitrary amount that scales with your Scav level), you have to wait 60 seconds before being extracted to safety, thus satisfying the requirements for the quest.

The second most difficult part of this quest is knowing where to go. The first most difficult part is not dying once you get there, since this part of the map is not only key to the quest in question, but is also right next to two other early quest objectives.

The V-Exit is located in between the mounted machine-gun building and the scientist’s office, right in the middle of the map. If you can’t find it, look for the wide open area in front of the Terragroup building, often crawling with scavs and littered with abandoned vehicles. The V-Exit is just to the right of that area, at the end of a street.

What You’ll Need to Do

With your 5000 Rubles (in your secure container), approach the SUV’s backside. When prompted with the option, pay the driver the cash and then wait the rather large time requirement. You can check the time remaining by double tapping the letter “O”, by default.

Once that time underneath the “V-Exit” listing hits zero seconds, anyone in the close vicinity of the SUV will be extracted, friendly or otherwise.

You do not need to be near the SUV at any point while the timer is counting down. Feel free to walk a mile away and return before the timer hits zero, if you’d like. Additionally, there’s no need to loot or kill anything before leaving. You can initiate the timer and leave as soon as you’d like and it will count as an proper extraction for the purposes of the quest.

Simply walk back into the SUV’s extract range before the timer hits zero and leave with the car. Speak to Skier to complete the quest.
