Dayz “Frostline” releases tomorrow, October 15th.
As part of a much anticipated release, Bohemia Interactive reminded us all that their new map “Sakhal” is soon to be released alongside of host of reworks that touch on some new assets, animals, buildings, and mechanics as part of the Frostline expansion.
Players, skeptical of the potential impact the map might have, are concerned that other long-standing issues such as shoddy zombie AI and a severe lack of focus on survival aspects of gameplay are hindering the base game more than this map will be able to compensate for with whatever improvements it brings.
DayZ Standalone, Bohemia’s take on the DayZ mod from the ARMA II era, was released out of early access in 2018. While its core base of players remain faithful, the prospect of earning new players without a huge overhaul of some of the game’s biggest mechanics remains unlikely.
