Bloodvelds in Oldschool Runescape are high-HP, low-defense monsters, making them excellent sources of combat and slayer XP. Here’s the quick and dirty guide on completing Bloodveld tasks efficiently.

For Ironmen

Opt for slaying Bloodvelds in the Stronghold Slayer Cave. The Slayer Tower is much farther from a bank and doesn’t allow cannoning, and the Bloodvelds located in the Godwars Dungeon do not spawn the superior variants.

Ranging the Bloodvelds in the Stronghold Slayer Cave makes for a relaxed, safe-spottable task. Since the Bloodveld is one of the rare monsters in OSRS that uses magic-based melee attacks, wearing ranging gear with high magic defense is ideal if limiting damage taken is wanted. Of course, one could always opt for max strength bonuses to expedite the task while praying against Melee for total negation of damage.

When killing Bloodvelds, you’ll come to find that their drop table is less than mediocre. While on task, keep an eye out for the occasional alch drop or blood rune stack, but other than that, the only thing to watch out for is their hard clue scroll drops. For ironmen, completing these hard clue scrolls should be a priority for an increased cash stack and access to extremely helpful items.

For Mains

Follow the advice given above. Make sure to bring a cannon with sufficient cannon balls to finish the task. Remember: As a main, using cannonballs to trade GP for ranged and slayer XP should be a priority.

Complete clues as desired and keep an eye out for superiors.
