Via discord, Battlestate Games confirmed Escape from Tarkov’s date for the Hardcore Wipe.
July 9th, 2025, 12 A.M.
Now wouldn’t you believe it? As of this article’s publishing, that’s tomorrow! Specifically, BSG stated:
Tomorrow, July 9, at 8:00 AM BST / 3:00 AM EDT we are planning to install Patch 0.16.8.0 for #EscapefromTarkov and Patch 0.3.2.1 for #TarkovArena. The updates installation will take approximately 6 hours, but may be extended if required. Both games will not be accessible during this period. There will be a wipe with #EscapefromTarkov update and a partial wipe in #TarkovArena.
For those of you on the west coast (U.S, PST), that translates to a midnight wipe, with roughly 6 hours of installation time, giving west coast players plenty of natural motivation to wake early get to escapin’ hardcore style.
Be sure to remember that BSG has an inconsistent history with wipe installations. We’ll be getting the 16.8 update along with the wipe, so don’t be to suprised if the installation runs into problems. Given the significance of the first EFT Hardcore wipe EVER, expect servers to, perhaps, have some engine trouble along the first few days of wipe, no pun intended at all.
It’s worth mentioning that BSG also updated their website just before the announcement, so if you’re interested in giving them more money for stash space, you’ll feel a lot more comfy doing it (the greedy bastards.)
The StunLock has a page dedicated to documenting the listed rules for the Hardcore Wipe, be sure to bookmark it to find any updates and to be sure you know what to expect.
Good luck, and have fun hardcore Tarkin’.
