In Escape From Tarkov, Farming: Part 1 is a Mechanic Task needed to open up the cavalcade of other tasks he gives out. Those other tasks are generally passively done raid after raid by collecting items, so the sooner they are unlocked, the better.
Here is how to quickly an efficiently complete Farming: Part 1.
TLDR;
- Get two toolsets
- Put one toolset into your secure container, leave the other in stash
- Go into factory with some cheap armor and weapon
- Repair the required panel
- Repeat with other toolset.
Step 1: Toolsets
Before anything else, focus on obtaining two toolsets.
To complete Farming: Part 1, you’ll need two tool sets. It doesn’t matter how you acquire them, whether by barting with traders for them, looting them in raid, or buying them off the flea market.
What does matter is how you store them. For the new player, it is highly recommended to store one toolset in your secure container when going to complete farming, leaving the other behind to use on another raid.
A toolset is a 2×2 item, so it will fit in any secured container.
Put one in your secured container, and then follow the instructions below.
Step 2: Repair
The two boards, as seen on the map above, are the objectives in question. To repair, simply approach the boards, and interact with them for twenty seconds.
Given that interacting with them doesn’t allow for interruptions without a reset to the timer, try to only interact with the boards when you have relative confidence that you won’t be interrupted by neither Scavs nor PMCs while repairing.
After completing both repairs, extract from factory and complete the task under mechanics “task” menu.
