Troll tasks are reliable XP and GP/HR for low to mid-level OSRS accounts. Here’s a 30-second guide on how to complete a troll task efficiently.
For Ironmen
First, consider killing Ice Trolls to complete your slayer task. Ice Trolls can be found on Jatizo after completing The Fremennik Trials quest. These Trolls can be multi-combated and have low magic/ranged defense. Additionally, their loot is substantially better than what you’ll get from a Slayer task against the Trolls near the Warriors’ Guild, for instance.
If the requirements of killing Ice Trolls or training mage/ranged deter you, opt for the Trolls near the Warriors’ Guild. We recommend gearing up for either a prayer-heavy build to make use of Protect From Melee or opting for high melee defense:
- Teleport to Burthorpe using any means
- Run west to just north of the Warriors’ Guild until you reach a fork in the road, head north. Do not deviate from the open path.
- Follow that path with Protect From Missiles activated
- Once at the top of the path, kill the melee trolls until the task is complete.
- Pickup any mid to high-level herbs, alch any weapons/armor, and, if using ensouled heads for prayer training, pickup any heads for the future.
For Mains
Follow the advice above, but consider a cannon to expedite the tasks. Since runes/Chinchompas are easier to come by, Ice Trolls are almost always suggested to achieve more XP/HR and get better loot in the process.
